In the spirit of empowering students to be able to focus on areas of particular interest to them, I am asking you all to decide which of the readings you would prefer to discuss from the textbooks Computer-Mediated Communication in Personal Relationships and  Making Connections.  I will organize the readings to maintain a range of 50 - 75 pages/week (which will about match the rest of the semester). So, please do not choose short articles thinking you will read less each week :).
Each of these books adds different value to your understanding of relational communication.  Understanding Computer-Mediated Communication in Personal Relationships is imperative in today's mediated environment - CMC is how relationships often get done.  Making Connections is a book that offers concise and clear explanations from key researchers about many of the key concepts in the field of relational communication.   So, we will read some articles from each so you gain that range of understanding.

From the chapter titles below, please choose at least 5 but not more than 10.
