Introduction
Undergraduate Training at Purdue (UT@P) provides software training for all students, provided by expert undergraduate trainers. Instructors may request training for their students on how to use a specific software in order to complete course objectives (for example, to complete an assignment). Below are specific guidelines that we request you observe and follow in order for us to provide the best service possible. Please read the guidelines carefully, then fill out the form, after clicking the "Next" button at the bottom of this page.
Guidelines
- UT@P may provide two workshops per course section per instructor per semester. Therefore, if you have two ENG 106 courses, you may request two workshops per course section for the semester.
- Workshops run 50 minutes in length. If your class is a power hour, trainers may stay for the rest of the allotted class time to answer questions.
- Training may be conducted during your class time or during another convenient time for your students.
- If your class meets regularly in a computer lab, we may hold the workshop there or we will schedule a computer lab for you in the case that your class does not meet in a computer lab. Timing may varying depending on lab availability.
- If you are requesting training from one of our regular workshops, please allow at least 2 weeks scheduling time for training. This means if you submit this request form on 1/1/10, please request training no sooner than 1/14/10. Sometimes scheduling takes some time depending on the request. Mostly likely, we will be able to schedule your workshop within a few days.
- If you are requesting training for a custom workshop (custom workshops may be a combination of different software or software unfamiliar to the trainers), please allow at least 3 weeks scheduling and preparation time for training.
